Capabilities

Our highly flexible facility allows us to support a wide variety of board and component configurations.  Our manufacturing capabilities include Through Hole (PTH), Surface Mount (SMT) including Fine Pitch and Ball Grid Array (BGA), cable assemblies, and a wide variety of mechanical assembly capabilities. All our assemblers are IPC certified and all products are assembled to IPC-610 standards.  Our purchasing department can provide support for all your procurement needs and our Materials Management System insures that GRT provides controlled storage of individual customers' parts. 

SMT Assembly

• The HTI Screen Printer with Vision is used to apply the solder paste to the pc boards with repeated    accuracy.  We can use no-clean or water-soluble paste, depending on the customers  preference.
• The Cyberoptics LSM-500 Laser Section Microscope allows all stenciled boards to be easily inspected before component placement begins.  This allows us to measure the height of the solder paste as well as verify the registration.
• The Quad QSV-1 and Quad IVC High Precision SMT Assemblers handle boards from 3.2 x 3 inches up to 18 x 24 inches.  Both machines can accurately place package sizes from 0402 through QFP208 and BGA devices.  The ease of setup and versatility allow us to run small prototype quantities as well as production volumes.
• The Conceptronics HVN 70, five zone, forced convection, reflow oven is state of the art with its computer control of the heating, cooling and conveyor systems.  It has virtually unlimited capability for thermal profile generation.
• An Electrovert Microline 250 Wave Solder is used to wave solder through hole components.
• Aqueous Technologies Board Wash System is used to clean boards, if cleaning is required.

PCB Inspection

 All of our assembly personnel have been trained and certified to IPC-610 standards.  They use a wide

           variety of magnifiers and stereomicroscopes to perform their job functions.  In addition, we have a

 Testronics Model 505 Automated Vision Inspection system that is easily programmed and used for

           inspection on production runs.

 

Rework / Repair

We offer complete rework and repair services using state of the art equipment.  For replacing BGAs

          and other surface mount devices, we have a Pace TF2000 rework station that is complete with the

          Pace XR2000 XRAY system.
